28 April 2026
Professor Mark Little, one of our Consultant Radiologists and Joint Professor with the Trust and the University of Reading has been awarded this year’s Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (JVIR) Editor’s Award for Outstanding Clinical Study.
This award recognises essential, best-in-class research in interventional radiology published in JVIR, selected through a review of all manuscripts from the previous year, voted on by the editorial board, and confirmed by the Editor-in-Chief. JVIR is the largest IR journal in the world, and the official journal of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
This international accolade was awarded for Mark’s work on a first-in-human study investigating a novel embolic agent designed to relieve symptoms of Osteoarthritis of the knee.
Mark said, “This reflects what can be achieved through strong collaboration, support, and sustained effort. It’s a great example of the level of research we are capable of delivering, and I’m very grateful for the continued support of the research team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital - it truly makes a difference”.
