Information about meningitis

You may be aware there have been three reported cases of meningitis in Reading. If you are worried or feeling unwell, please call NHS 111 for advice.

Some of the symptoms of meningitis may include:
-    High temperature
-    Being sick
-    Headache
-    Rash that does not fade when a glass is rolled over it
-    Drowsiness or unresponsiveness

Vaccinations offer some protection against certain causes of meningitis. Check if your vaccinations are up to date.

All patients should continue to attend appointments as normal.
