King Edward Ward

King Edward Ward is an outpatient chemotherapy unit based at the Berkshire Cancer Centre. The Ward is staffed by a team of specially trained nurses who will support you throughout your treatment.

Please let the receptionist know when you arrive. Our priority is to treat each patient in a timely manner. However, some days the unit is very busy and the demand for staff or equipment may result in a longer wait for treatment. You may leave your mobile number with the receptionist while waiting and we will call you when your treatment is ready. 

We are unable to facilitate visitors on the SACT units unless there are exceptional circumstances or care needs that require a visitor to be present. If you feel this applies to you, please discuss this with your treating Nurse or the Nurse in Charge. We regularly review this arrangement, maintaining patient safety as our priority.
