The General Surgical unit has 40 inpatient beds, and cares for emergency and elective surgical patients, with colorectal, upper gastrointestinal, breast and intestinal failure conditions.We also have a 4 bedded enhanced care bed unit for patients with higher monitoring needs.

The ward has open visiting; however, we kindly ask visitors to aim to visit between 10 am and 8 pm is recommended to help maintain a restful environment for patients.
