New Staff Health and Wellbeing Centre opens at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust

A new multi-million pound health and wellbeing centre with dedicated fitness and social facilities has opened for staff and volunteers at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The building, exclusively for staff and volunteers working for the Trust, is open from 6am to 10pm seven days a week.

Staff will be able to benefit from a wide variety of free facilities within the wellbeing centre including a weights room, cardio room, lounge, kitchen, changing facilities, television rooms, multiple activity rooms, and quiet spaces for staff wanting a break.  In addition to facilities, there are a wide variety of events and sessions held within the centre from yoga to free staff health check-ups.

The wellbeing centre forms part of Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust's investment into staff health and wellbeing including our newly built Cycle Village with secure cycle facilities and changing rooms, as well as free bus travel from Reading Station and free off-site parking offered to staff.

The building, which is Grade II listed, has been restored not being in use for several years. The building was acquired by the Trust in 1997 but previously was accommodation for headmasters of Reading School.
