How to apply

Your application

  • Once you have searched and found a job you would like to apply for, read all the guidance on this page carefully.
  • To apply for a job, you must complete an application form. This ensures that everyone gives information in the same format and allows us to assess your application in a standard way. Please fill in the form as fully and accurately as possible.
  • We will not take into account any previous applications that you have sent us or anything we already know about you.

  • We carry out a thorough recruitment process, this will include;
    • Employment references covering a minimum of three years, to the satisfaction of the Trust
    • Occupational health (OH) clearance from our internal OH department
    • Tuberculosis check in your home country
    • Overseas Police Check/DBS*
    • Identity verification
    • Valid passport
    • Having the right to live and work in the UK and completing the necessary visa process
    • Please be advised that under the terms of your contract, all new starters are on a probationary period for the first six months of employment.
  • Training
  • You will attend a half day Trust induction, specific training (usually a half day) plus some local induction in the department or ward in which you will work. Once you are in your role, we hold regular team meetings for updates and to share ideas.
  • Each job with us is banded at a particular level of pay - please see the pay scales via NHS Employers that show the current pay scales for each band.
