We work with a team of highly experienced gynaecologists who provide a range of treatments and procedures for patients suffering from gynaecological issues.
Many women may suffer from gynaecological-related problems throughout their lives. They may not be life-threatening and may only affect you at certain times of the month, but it can still have an impact on your quality of life and ability to do everyday things.
The type of treatment you will receive will depend on your symptoms, your age and whether you wish to have children. Your consultant will assess your condition and give you an expert opinion. If further diagnostic tests or treatment are required, these will be explained fully during your consultation.
We offer a wide range of general and specialist gynaecology clinics including:
A number of the hysteroscopy clinics offer a one-stop service. We run face-to-face as well as telephone pre-assessment clinics. We also have nurse-led ring pessary clinics as part of the urogynaecology service.
Our clinics are busy and patients can therefore experience some delays. This is due to patients having further investigations, for example ultrasound scans. Please note that patients on hospital transport take priority on arrival.
If you have any special requirement, please speak to the clinic co-ordinator on the day. If you require an foreign language or deaf interpreter please advise the clinic as soon as possible as we are unable to arrange interpreters at short notice.
The Unit is open Monday – Friday and is closed on public holidays.
