Castle Ward is in located in Battle block, level 2 and specialises in the care of Rheumatology and Diabetes patients.
The patients are cared for in single sex bays. Each single sex bay has a designated single sex toilet and washing facilities adjacent to the bay.
The ward also has some side rooms with en-suite facilities. These will be allocated according to clinical need.
Please could relatives requesting to speak to a doctor about a patient, speak to the nurse in charge who will help arrange the meeting.

Ward visiting hours: Open visiting until 8:30pm, but please be aware that you may be asked to leave in the event of an emergency, or when the need arises for a patient's privacy and dignity.
Visitors allowed: Two per bedside
Flowers permitted: One small bunch
Mobile phones permitted: Yes
Castle is in Battle Block. The nearest car park is the multi storey on Craven Road. Join the Main Entrance building on level 2, past the shops and Welcome desk. Turn right through Eye Block and Castle Ward is along the Battle Block corridor on the left hand side.
