Results from the 2017 national NHS staff survey, show that staff at the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust rated their job satisfaction at work among the top 20% of all NHS hospital employees.
They also rated the Royal Berkshire among the top 20% of all acute trusts for reporting good communication between senior management and staff, and effective use of patient/service user feedback.
Overall, staff recommended the Trust as a place to work or receive treatment and rated it better than average or among the very best in 23 of the survey’s 32 categories
Don Fairley, director of workforce, said: “Despite a challenging year across the NHS, it is fantastic to see that our staff remain committed and motivated to provide the best care to our patients.
“We proactively encourage an open and honest culture where everyone feels able to raise concerns, and I am pleased to see that staff feel confident in reporting any concerns they may have in relation to clinical practice which is essential in providing a safe environment for patients.”
“The survey also highlighted some areas where we can improve and plans are being developed to address these.”
