The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to be able to announce the relaunch of their online patient message cards, after the huge success of the initiative over the Christmas and New Year period.
With a refreshed design, families and friends can send personal messages to their loved ones while they are in hospital.
With current visiting restrictions still in place due to the current COVID situation, the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust understands that this continues to be a very difficult time for our patients and their families.
In addition to the message cards, the Trust is continuing to offer phone and virtual visiting via iPads, which are available for patient use on all the wards.
Sharon Herring, Associate Chief Nurse for Patient Experience and Workforce, said: “We were thrilled at how well the initiative was taken up over the Christmas and New Year period. With the continued restricted visiting, we wanted to continue the service with a refreshed look and feel so that relatives and friends and can remain in contact and continue to send messages to their loved ones.”
Those with friends or family who are in the hospital can download a card to send back to the hospital. The messages hand delivered to their friends and loved ones on the wards.
