Security was the theme of the week at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The Trust held a Security Awareness Week last week, to remind staff about the role everyone should play in maintaining security at the hospital.
Director of Estates and Facilities, Peter Mills, said the event was a resounding success.
“Members of staff and the public took part over the week. We touched on everything from preventing fraud, stopping people from entering premises unchecked, protecting property, reporting incidents and personal safety.
“Security is about safety: personal, working environment, patients’ private information and much more. It is about being observant, vigilant, spotting and identifying theft, fraud or any unusual behaviour patterns.”
Staff are being encouraged to not just report incidents but to complete incident reports for anything security related.
The RBFT Security Awareness Week is one of many security activities the Trust holds over the year.
