The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust (RBFT) and its Board is delighted that its chief executive, Steve McManus, has been recognised as one of the top 50 Trust chief executives in the country, by the Health Service Journal.
Graham Sims, Chairman at the RBFT said: “This is a very well-deserved recognition for Steve and acknowledges the considerable impact he has made to the continued improvement of the Trust. Steve always believes and acts to do the very best for our patients and staff. His patient focus, incredible energy and candour with Trust colleagues and partners across West Berkshire, is helping RBFT continue its improvement in support of our vision of ‘Working together to provide outstanding care for our community’.
“Earlier this year the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated the Trust as ‘good’ from its previous rating in March 2014 of ‘requires improvement’ and the Royal Berkshire Hospital itself was rated ‘outstanding’, this is a true testament to the on-going progress we continue to make.”
