On Friday 27 October, the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust’s (RBFT) patient participation team will be holding its next standing conference in the Trust Education Centre, Royal Berkshire Hospital between 13.00 – 16.00 hrs and invites all members of the public to attend
Director of Nursing, Caroline Ainslie, will be chairing the event which will bring together staff and community groups, and aims to engage with people of all ages, race and religions to showcase the work of the Trust, and to listen and act on suggestions from the local community that could improve the patient experience.
Guests will enjoy a mixed agenda including presentations on spiritual healthcare, and the Trust’s involvement with the local Ghurkha community, and how through meaningful engagement a better understanding has developed on both sides of the health problems facing the Nepalese community and how these can be addressed.
Children from the Rainbow Day Nursery will also be presenting their views on ‘People Who Help Us’ and healthy eating – which is sure to be a lively and engaging presentation!
The Trust is always looking for opportunities to further enhance and develop its patient and public involvement strategy and firmly believes that working hand in hand with the local community will bring enormous benefits to us all.
