Welcome to the West Berkshire Community Hospital (WBCH). The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust offers a wide range of services to help provide care closer to home to the population of Newbury and the surrounding area.
We have on site a renal dialysis unit called the Enborne unit.
The outpatient clinics available at WBCH can be found below, along with key information including contact details. Patients can access any of the services via a referral from their GP or another health care professional.
The clinics can offer patients a combination of face-to-face and video/telephone clinics.
There are two road entrances to the hospital.
The south entrance is located directly off the A4 and may only be accessed by vehicles coming from Newbury and turning left into the site. Please be aware that cars are unable to do a right turn into the hospital from the Thatcham direction.
The north entrance and exit has unlimited access and is located on Turnpike road, off the garden centre roundabout on the A4
'Pay on exit' car parking is available at the hospital, using automatic number plate recognition. At the end of your visit, you will need to pay at the payment machines in the hospital reception. In addition you can still pay using the Parkonomy app.
There is also a drop off point and taxi rank near the main entrance to the hospital, as well as designated spaces for disabled parking and motorbikes.

There are regular bus services from both Newbury and Thatcham which stop at the hospital.
Newbury and District Limited operates buses connecting West Berkshire Community Hospital with Newbury and Thatcham up to every fifteen minutes under Kennet bus service numbers 1A, 1C and 1D. Timetables for all services can be found on this website.
There are designated bicycle parking spaces.
