Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) the Medical Museum will be closed until further notice. We'll update this page when things change.
The Museum is open to the general public from 2:00 until 4:30 pm on the first and third Sundays of the month.
At other times and for groups please 'phone 0118 9549371.
Admission is free but donations are very welcome.
The museum is best approached via the doorway in the extreme left hand corner of the north wing car park (as you face the old main entrance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital with your back to the London Road).
The easiest approach to the Royal Berkshire Hospital by car is to proceed westwards along the A4 from the direction of London and turn left into the old main hospital forecourt. There is usually ample parking here on Sundays (pay and display). More detailed travel advice can be found elsewhere on the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust's website.
There is wheelchair access to the museum.
There are no refreshment or toilet facilities in the Museum but these are available elsewhere on the hospital site.
