Working together to improve health and care
The Berkshire West Integrated Care Partnership (BWICP) is made up of seven public sector organisations and is responsible for health and social care for 600,000 people across the west of Berkshire.
Its development is a key stage in the revolution of health and social care, aimed at bringing a wider range of joined up services closer to people’s homes and making it easier for them to access.
The move is also aimed at targeting limited resources more effectively and efficiently as both the health and public sector grapple with the challenging needs of a growing and ageing population.
The BWICP is made up of Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Group (BWCCG), West Berkshire Council, Reading Borough Council, Wokingham Borough Council, Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust and South Central Ambulance Foundation Trust.
