Feedback on your experience of using our services is important to helping us improve. We also value patients and carers contributing to improving services.
Patients and carers can get involved in improving and developing services at the Trust by:
We are looking for people to work with us to design and change patient services for the better. Visit the Patient Leaders page.
The Register of Readers is a group of people who have previous experience of the Trust’s services and have volunteered to read new and revised patient information written by Trust staff. This information may be about medical conditions, treatments, where to get support or may be general leaflets about the Trust’s facilities and services.
We usually ask for feedback within two weeks – but sometimes sooner if it’s urgent. If you have other commitments that mean you can’t get involved at any point in time – just let the Patient Information Manager know.
If you would like to join the Register of Readers, please email the Patient Information Manager (jane.burnett@royalberkshire.nhs.uk) stating if there are any areas you are particularly interested in, e.g. diabetes, surgery, elderly care, paediatrics, women’s health etc.
Alternatively, telephone 0118 322 8706.
Becoming a Foundation Trust member will give you an opportunity to become involved and play a part, share your views and influence the way the hospital is run and support the Trust, ensuring that your ideas are considered in the development of services. You also get to vote in election for our Council of Governors – or perhaps stand as a governor yourself. Whether you just want to show your support or get involved on a regular basis we welcome new members.
To find out more about becoming a foundation trust member, or to fill out an application form, visit the Members section.
