Regular clinic visits are essential to ensure your child’s continuing good health. The diabetes team includes: doctors, diabetes nurses, diabetes dietitians, a psychologist and the clinic nurses.
Together they are responsible for helping you learn to manage the many different aspects of your child’s condition.
The Paediatric Diabetes Clinic is held in the Children's Clinic in South block, Level 1, at the RBH in Reading, every Thursday morning.

In addition there are outpatient clinic nurses, play specialists and clinic receptionists. We also have a dedicated administrator who supports us with appointments and other tasks.
Your Paediatric Diabetes Team runs an out of hours advice service for urgent queries that cannot wait until the next working day.

From 8pm to 8am, you will need to contact the hospital switchboard on 0118 322 5111, and ask to speak to the Paediatric Registrar on call.
