The Council of Governors is elected in the main by the members of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The Council plays a crucial role in representing the needs and ideas of the community. It has important duties such as the appointment of the non-executive directors of the Trust Board, including the Chair. Governors attend meetings of the Council and can influence the way the Trust delivers services by contributing views on behalf of the members who elect them.
The Council of Governors is chaired by Graham Sims, Chair who also chairs the Trust Board. The Lead Governor is a public governor elected by the Council to the role.
