Christmas messages to Loved ones

Christmas message form for patients Dec 2020

We know that this is very difficult time for both patients who remain in hospital of the Christmas period and for loved ones. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID situation, visiting restrictions at the Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH) have to remain in place. Visits will only be allowed during exceptional circumstances and by prior agreement with the ward sister. However, RBH will do all we can to accommodate phone and virtual visiting requests.

In addition to the phone and virtual visiting, the RBH has introduced a new Christmas and New Year message card as we recognise that visits and messages from loved ones can mean a lot to our patients.

Sharon Herring, Director of Operations for Networked Care and Lead for Patient and Public Engagement, said: Due to the restricted visiting and limited post over the Christmas period, it is important that friends and relatives can remain in contact and send messages to their loved ones.”

Those with friends or family who are in the hospital over the Christmas and New Year period will be able to  download the card to send back to the hospital, where their messages of cheer will be taken to their friends and loved ones.

Click here and download the card, type in your message, and email it to PALS@royalberkshire.nhs.uk

We will endeavour to deliver your message as soon as possible, but due to demand there may be a short delay before the message gets to your loved ones.
