The Acute Stroke Unit is a 28
bed 
medical ward caring for patients with
complex multi-professional health and social needs. The ward team
cares for patients with acute and rehabilitation needs.
The patients are cared for in single sex
bays. Each single sex bay has a designated single sex toilet
and washing facilities adjacent to the bay.

A voluntary service visits the ward on weekdays with a newspaper
and sweet trolley. Please be aware of infection control
policies with regard to hand washing and not sitting on patients’
beds.
