1. Suspected acute renal failure (new or superimposed on Chronic Kidney Disease) 2. Newly detected established renal failure (CKD stage 5 - eGFR <15ml/min)
URGENT outpatient appointment
1. Nephrotic syndrome 2. Newly detected CKD stage 4 or stable stage 5 (eGFR <30ml/min)
ROUTINE outpatient appointment
1. Stable CKD stage 4 (eGFR<30 mls/min) 2. CKD stage 3 (eGFR<60 mls/min) according to GP guidelines 3. Diabetics with proteinuria >1g/24 hours or CKD stage 3 4. Isolated Proteinuria (>1g/24hours) 5. Any proteinuria with haematuria 6. Inherited or structural renal disorder (eg PKD, pyelonephritis) 7. Metabolic investigation of recurrent renal stone formation 8. Electrolyte abnormalities: High or low potassium, High or low calcium, Low sodium, Acidosis
