The Benyon Haemodialysis Unit caters for
patients who receive regular dialysis three times a week.
There are three shifts of patients who
dialyse in the morning, afternoon and evening.

Clinics
Dialysis clinics are held in Out Patient 2, in the South Block.
These clinics provide the opportunity to privately discuss your
concerns / progress and treatment. You may want to write down
questions you have in advance.
Visiting hours
Open visiting times. Please avoid our busy
periods which are from 10.30am to 2.00pm and 4.30 to 6.00pm

Location
The Benyon Haemodialysis Unit is situated in the North Block on
Level 1.
Fully mobile self drive patients and visitors, please park at
the North London Road car park. Wheelchair patients who are brought
in by visitors are to use the West Drive entrance near the
hydrotherapy pool.
Patients brought in by transport are to use the West Drive
entrance also.
Information for patients and visitors
Please wear non restricting clothing. For
example no tight sleeves for easy access to dialyse via a fistula.
For dialysis via lines, clothes that won’t restrict connection to
the machine are preferable. T shirts / button shirts are ideal.
The unit takes infection control very
seriously. Please can we ask everyone to use the hand gel provided
when entering and leaving the unit. Please call the unit in advance
if you have diarrhoea and or vomiting.
Other information
The dialysis staff will try and match your
appointment time, however, please be patient if there are delays
beyond our control such as emergencies, machine breakdowns and
transport delays.
Blood results
Dialysis patients are able access their own blood results via
Renal PatientView. Please
ask dialysis staff for more information.
