Woodley Ward is a ward for older male patients. Our goal is to enable each patient to become as independent and self-caring as possible, where appropriate.
Ward visiting hours: Open visiting
Visitors allowed per patient: 2
Visitors who wish to assist with their relative’s personal care needs (e.g. feeding / washing) are welcome to be involved.
Exit the multi-storey car park on level 2. Follow the signs for all wards and departments, and take a right at the Welcome Desk. Continue through to Battle Block, and take the second set of stairs or lifts you come to on your left.
Exit on level 3. Please press the intercom and a member of staff will let you in.
Consultants: Professor D Oliver and Dr H Johnson
Matron: Nikki Campbell
Junior Sister: Rani Cyril
The nurses will be able to give you some information about your relative’s progress but if you want to discuss this in more detail you will need to speak to their doctor.
On the whole, the ward is used for patients who are expected to spend less that one week in hospital. Our aim, where appropriate, is to enable patients to become as independent and self-caring as possible.
Except in emergencies, please try to phone after 10am wherever possible. It is helpful if just one person telephones with enquiries and then informs other relatives and friends. We are not permitted to give detailed medical information over the telephone but we will report on how your friend or relative is progressing in a general way.
