Pre-Op Assessment Clinic (POAC)

Pre-operative assessment clinic specialises in assessing patients' fitness for planned surgery for all patients over the age of 16, having either urology surgery, general surgery or orthopaedic surgery.

When patients are informed at clinic that they need an operation, a basic assessment (Triage) needs to be carried out to ensure that they are fit to go onto the waiting list.

Adult Day Surgery Unit (ADSU)

Adult Day Surgery Unit (ADSU) specialises in the care of patients having a surgical procedure as a day case.

Stomatotherapy

Stomatherapy is care of patients who have their bowel or bladder diverted surgically onto their abdomen and are required to wear a stoma pouch (a bag) over this opening. We provide continuity of care for patients with a stoma formation providing information and follow up care.
