The Medical Photography Department creates photographic and video records patients’ medical conditions for documentation and monitoring purposes.

The department also provides a wide range of services for teaching and publication requirements, including medical illustration, video and photographic graphic design, binding, large format printing and laminating. Please contact the department to discuss any design and production requirements.

Studio hours: Monday to Friday : 8.30am to 4.30pm.

How to get there: Royal Berkshire Hospital, North Block, follow signage form the old main reception in North Block

Wheelchair access: Yes, but, the photographers would prefer to attend wheelchair bound patients in their requesting department.

Patient Guide – what to bring / how to prepare:  Patients require a photographic request card provided by their consultant/ward/department.

There is no requirement to book an appointment, patients can either visit the photography department, or if the patient is elderly or has mobility problems/wheelchair or has dressings the photographers will attend the ward or department,  please call.

All patients are required to complete the consent to photography on the Medical Photography request form. (If the patent is under age, or unable to sign consent, then a signature is required from either a parent/guardian or the patient's representative/consultant.)
