Welcome to Kempton day surgery unit. The ward has ten beds and is situated in Centre Block.

How to find us

The best place to park is in the multi-storey car park. You can then reach the rest of the hospital from level 2, which is the Main Entrance.  

We offer all parents whose child is admitted to a Ward or A&E a free parking permit. Please ask the nurse in charge about this.

Visiting

One visitor per patient, for more visitors, please ask the nurse in charge.

Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm

What do I need to bring?

  • If your child is under five years old, bring their red book with you.
  • Baby feeds, nappies and other essentials.
  • Snacks or drinks, especially if your child has a special diet.
  • Any medication your child is taking.
  • Your child's favourite toy, book or comforter.
  • If your child is staying overnight, please bring nightwear and daywear for your child, as well as other essentials such as toothbrushes.

Play team

On your child's visit you may meet a member of the Play Team. Our play leaders help your child during their time in hospital through play and distraction. This can be very helpful for reducing anxiety, and soothing when an uncomfortable test may be needed.
