Jim Shahi Unit

The Jim Shahi Unit is part of the Cardiology department. It offers cardiac angiography, angioplasty (PCI), pacemaker insertion, electrical cardio version, automated implantable cardiovertor defibrillator (AICD), electrophysiology studies (EP studies), cardiac day care and catheterisation.

Visiting 

Drop off and pick up only. No visitors while procedures are being undertaken - mainly mornings.

How to get here

Arrive at Level 2 Main Reception. Proceed down the main corridor passing the cafe on the right and a shop on the left. Proceed past the coffee bar until reaching a small staircase on the right. Go down the steps and along past the Eye Clinics and enter Battle Block. Proceed along the Level 2 corridor until reaching the second set of lifts on the left. Take the lift down one floor to Level 1. Outside the lift on your left you will see the sign Cardiac Outpatients. Jim Shahi Unit is on level 1, Battle Block. The entrance to the ward is opposite the Battle Block lifts nearest to North Block. There is an intercomm to request entry.
