Radiology - about the department

The department provides diagnostic and interventional radiology for inpatients, outpatients and GP referrals.

Sevices provided by the department include:

      • Emergency Department X-ray
      • Breast Screening and Breast Imaging  
      • CT (Computerised Tomography)  
      • Interventional Radiology
      • Fluoroscopy
      • General X-ray
      • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
      • Orthopaedic X-ray
      • Ultrasound

 

How to find us

X-ray Level 1

The CT, MRI Fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology areas are based within the X-ray Department, and can be found on Level 1 in the Centre Block of the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

If you use the multi-storey car park on Craven Road, you will enter the hospital on Level 2. Follow the signs for all wards and departments and use the stairs or lifts down to Level 1 in the main corridor in Centre Block.

X-ray Level 2

The X-ray Department is located on Level 2 of the Centre Block in the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

If you use the multi-storey car park on Craven Road, you will enter the hospital on Level 2. Follow the signs for all wards and departments to Level 2 in the main corridor in Centre Block.
