We work in a team consisting of consultants, doctors in training, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, specialist nurses, and rheumatology practitioners. Together we strive to deliver the best possible care and experience for our patients. We hope our patients are well informed about their conditions and play a key role in their care.
Many of our doctors and other staff members are involved in research into various types of arthritis and we have strong links with Oxford and Reading University. This is good for our patients as it keeps us at the forefront of developments in arthritis care and management.
We are proud of our department - our departmental objective is to continuously improve the care we offer.
Outpatient clinics are located in Outpatients 1 (South Block). Loddon Ward is the rheumatology inpatient ward and is located on Level 2, Centre block. Patients on Biologic and Infusion therapies need to come to the medical infusion unit (IMID).
