The League of Friends of the Royal
Berkshire Hospital aims to improve
the care and comfort of patients, visitors and staff, above and
beyond what is funded and provided by the NHS.
New volunteers and members are always
welcome.
The main activities that you could help the League of Friends
with are:
- staffing retail outlets around the hospital, some of which
are open 7 days a week
- assisting at fundraising events such as the fete
- collecting on flag collection days throughout the Reading
area.

The main League of Friends shop is at Maternity Block
offering snacks, drinks, newspaper and magazines, toiletries,
baby clothing, greeting cards and gifts. Open Monday to Friday
8.30am to 5.30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am
until 4pm.
A new coffee kiosk is open at the North Block London
Road entrance. Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
