Snowdonia
2010
Twelve teams entered this demanding event
which involved walking 26 miles and climbing 11,000 feet
whilst taking in four of the five highest mountains in Wales.
The event rigorously tested the
group's physical fitness, mental agility and ability to work as a
team.
The physical element was tough, but only 50% of the challenge.
In addition each team was asked to raise £5,000 and they rose to
the occasion in spectacular fashion, raising a massive £78,000
between them.
Reading Blade – abseil
This
successful event is now in its second year and over 70 people
abseiled down the Blade on 12th September 2010.
This adrenalin-charged event gave everyone
the opportunity to abseil down all 14 floors, the equivalent of 32
double-decker buses.
Kitted out with harnesses and helmets our
supporters bravely stepped out onto the platform awaited their turn
to abseil down to the ground. All the participants really enjoyed
the experience and many have already put their names down for next
year.
The event was a huge success and raised
over £20,000 in aid of ‘Robbie’.
