The Royal Berks Charity

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation donors
Trust carries out its own charitable
fundraising through the Royal Berks Charity.

The charity is wholly concerned with improving and enhancing facilities for the people in our community.

Your donations give us the opportunity to purchase extra equipment and fund research work and building enhancements. Specialist  positions not normally funded by the NHS can also be financed.

There are many causes that we support throughout the Trust and our current top priorities include:

  • ‘Robbie’ the robot
  • Cancer care
  • Cardiac Care Unitlogo
  • The new Royal Berkshire Bracknell Clinic.

Patient benefits

Charitable donations have helped us to acquire additional items that can make a visit to the hospital a better experience.

Examples of equipment acquired and current campaigns include:

  • ‘Robbie’ the robot
  • neuro disability equipment
  • specialist seating
  • stroke recovery equipment
  • shower chairs for hydrotherapy
  • adaptive cutlery
  • diagnostic hearing Loss equipment
  • a portable scanner for fertility screening
  • a portable ultrasound machine for diagnosing arthritis.

Your generosity and support is very much appreciated and even the smallest donation makes a difference. General donations are very welcome but should you wish to support a particular ward, department, service or appeal, please let us know.

If you would like to make a donation or leave a gift in your will please follow the links on the top left hand side of this page or contact us using the contact details on the right hand side.
