The Information Zone is a one stop shop for health
information for patients, relatives, carers, visitors and
staff.
The Information Zone is based on Level 1 near the main entrance
on Craven Road and is currently open Monday to Thursday
between 10am and 4pm. Information Zone volunteers provide the
mainstay of the work with the general public but they
are supported and supervised by the Patient Information
Manager.
Information is both paper based and via the Intranet but the
Zone also holds other formats such as DVDs, CD Roms and Easy Read
publications.
The Zone is run by a team of enthusiastic volunteers. If you
would like to be a volunteer, have a strong interest in health
information, are happy to talk to people face to face and have the
confidence to use varied resources, such as libraries and the
internet, please contact the Voluntary Services Manager to find out
more. We would particularly welcome volunteers who are members of
health and carers support groups.
