Adult Hearing Assessments and rehabilitation

Fully comprehensive Adult Audiology service provided at a number of community sites for those with reported hearing difficulties. Patients are offered digital hearing aids including receiver-in-the-canal technology where appropriate. One-stop `assess-and-fit¿ appointments are offered where clinically appropriate.

During the clinical session patients undergo a holistic assessment of their condition, which leads to the development of their Individual Management Plan. The following conditions are treated within the clinic:

- Tinnitus Management
- Hyperacusis Management
- Support and counselling for hearing aid users and hearing related difficulties
- Auditory Processing Disorder
- Psycho-social consequences of hearing loss

For patients who need additional support alongside their hearing aids, advice is provided about a range of assistive listening devices which are available.
