Continuing professional development

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) tutor provides educational support and a programme of local educational events to General Practitioners (GPs) in practices in West Berkshire.

The Faculty of Medical Education provides support to the CPD tutor.

The Faculty also (in liaison with Trust consultants) co-ordinates and administers a programme of inter-professional and multi-disciplinary events for GPs and other health care professionals in primary care.

 Paediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition

Monday 19th March 2018 (Registration from 8:30 am, finish 4-30 pm)

GPs and primary care colleagues are warmly invited to this study day at the Trust Education Centre, Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading RG1 5AN where topics will include: 

Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux- Practical application of NICE Guidance; Constipation Management in Primary Care; The Toddler Diet – Too Much or Too Little’; Milk Allergy, Introduction of Allergenic Foods and 5 new ideas in Paediatric Allergy; Infant Feeding Advice for GPs.

  • Orthotic management of neuromuscular conditions
  • Orthotic prescription from Head to toe - what, when and why
