Pancreatic cancer

What is pancreatic cancer?

This is a cancer which affects the pancreas or gallbladder.

The pancreas is a gland located in the upper part of your abdomen.

It has two functions the first is sugar control with in the body, the second is manufacturing enzymes to help in the digestion of food.

The gall bladder is a small bag like structure which collects bile from the liver and passes it down the bile duct in to the intestine.

The pancreas and gall bladder are situated closely together so a cancer in one structure can affect the function of the other.
