Bowel cancer

What is bowel cancer?

Cancer develops as a result of an abnormal cell, which multiplies to produce millions of cells forming a lump or a tumour.

Bowel cancer is cancer in any part of the colon or rectum that forms most of the large intestine or bowel.

The average age of bowel cancer onset is 60-65 years for both men and women. Bowel cancer is extremely rare for people under thirty.
