The Trust conducts Equality Impact
Assessments on all new policies, procedures services and
activities, in line with legislation and with a view to addressing
existing health inequalities.
Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) is an
assessment of the impact that policies and procedures have on those
who are affected by them (staff and
clients/customers/patients).
This entails a systematic analysis of a policy or procedure,
irrespective of the scope of that policy or the size of the
function. The analysis looks at one or more equality groups
(age, sexual orientation, gender, race, disability, religion or
belief).
