John has substantial board level
management 
experience in the information technology
industry in the UK and internationally having been a vice president
in PictureTel Corporation and Deputy Chairman of Digital
Equipment Corporation.
On joining the Board in April 2007, John
said: "I am very much looking forward to serving the Trust and the
local community through this non-executive role. I hope to use the
experience I have gained in business to assist the Trust in
successfully meeting the challenges of the future."
During the last five years he has worked with Stanford Research
Institute in the USA and successfully set-up an independent IT
hardware company operating in Europe and Asia. He is now running
his own consultancy business.
John lives in Caversham and has three children.
